The Objective:
Technologies Management came to Scott Design to redesign and update their Publications
Catalog. They needed an easy to follow layout of their publication and a place
for an interactive CD witch held electronic versions of publication samples.
Marketing Strategy:
The marketing director wanted to use this new catalog to mail to existing
customers and to hand out at trade shows.
Creative Execution:
After reviewing the existing catalog, I decided to take their corporate
colors and created a solid color front with ghosted large
pattern of their logo mark. Working closely with the Marketing
Director, I suggested that the catalog should have a simple guide that
guides the reader to which publication would work best to certain companies
in their market. This idea lead to a simple graphic of an open book
with a list of companies who would benefits having the mentioned publication
along with a comment callouts. Using the design of their Services
Brochure as a guide, I created a similar grid and used the same type
face. The inside cover of the book included a pocket so they could
place customized letters to pacific clients and a slit to hold a mini-CD
which contained an interactive interface to samples of their publications.
Result:
Satisfied client. Request of existing clients ordered additional new
products because of the catalog's layout and ease of read. |
